News Story: Japan wants to boost defence cooperation with Vietnam

Hanoi (VNA) – Japan wants to step up multi-dimensional cooperation with Vietnam, including in defence, Japanese Ambassador to Vietnam Umeda Kunio told Deputy Defence Minister Nguyen Chi Vinh in Hanoi on November 22.

He stated his country will continue maintaining cooperation with Vietnam in peacekeeping missions and between the law enforcement forces at sea as well as increasing exchanges between young officers.

General Vinh spoke highly of the growing friendship between the two countries, saying the bilateral defence ties have been unceasingly developed efficiently and practically.
