President Ashraf Ghani on Thursday met with a number of political and jihadi figures, where they discussed national issues – including the selection process of election commissioners.
According to a press release issued by the Presidential Palace, Ghani said electoral fraud will be considered as a crime based on the new election law and that it will help prevent interference in the upcoming polls in the country.
He said election is a national issue and requires consultation.
He called on the jihadi and political leaders present at the meeting to send their recommendations in this respect.
