Senators in the Meshrano Jirga (Upper House of Parliament) on Tuesday accused Pakistan of fueling the war in Afghanistan amid the ongoing insurgency around the country.
Senators stated that Pakistan has been harboring and sponsoring terrorist groups in Afghanistan and are preventing the Taliban from entering an Afghan peace dialogue through meddling in Afghanistan's internal issues.
The senators noted that Pakistan has always pursued a hostile policy toward Afghanistan and Islamabad has never endorsed a peaceful and stable Afghanistan.
"Daesh has not infiltrated here from Syria or Iraq, Pakistan fabricated Daesh for Afghanistan," one senator Abdul Hai Akhundzada said.
"United Nations must take the issue seriously and isolate Pakistan, because Pakistan has been supporting terrorism for long," said senator Nadir Baloch.
