SRINAGAR, Indian-controlled Kashmir, Nov. 25 (Xinhua) -- Two Indian policemen were killed and another wounded Friday in a militant attack in restive Indian-controlled Kashmir, police said.
The attack was carried out in Kulgam town, about 69 km south of Srinagar city, the summer capital of Indian-controlled Kashmir.
"Militants today fired indiscriminately on a police party deployed on a routine duty in Bus yard here wounding three policeman," a senior police official posted in the district said.
"Of the wounded three, two succumbed to their wounds while being taken to the hospital, while as third one has been provided first aid at the hospital."
Militants did not suffer any damage in the attack and they managed to flee from the spot, police said.
