News Report: Explosion in Eastern Afghanistan Kills at Least 2 Militants

At least two militants were killed in an explosion in the province of Nangarhar in eastern Afghanistan on Friday, local media reported.

MOSCOW (Sputnik) – Two militants were killed and two others were injured in an explosion triggered by their own explosives in Ghani Khel district of the Nangarhar province, Khaama press news agency reported.

A commander of the militants was reportedly killed in an explosion.

Earlier this week, media reported about a car bomb explosion in Afghanistan's capital of Kabul, injuring at least one person.

Afghanistan is in a state of political and social turmoil, with Taliban insurgents and other extremist factions such as Daesh, outlawed in Russia and many other countries, taking advantage of the instability in the country.
