Senator Antonio Trillanes IV on Tuesday criticized alleged reports on stealthy plans to destroy the Duterte administration, adding that it doesn’t need to operate such plan for the government is destroying itself.
Earlier, Cabinet Secretary Leoncio Evasco claimed that a coup plot was brewing to unseat President Rodrigo Duterte.
“Hindi totoo ‘yan. Alam mo, hindi mo na kailangang mag coup sa gobyerno na’to dahil nagsa-sarili naman,” Trillanes said. “They are self-destructing.”
(That’s not true. You know, you don’t need to coup against the (Duterte’s) government, cause it [destroys] itself.)
