KABUL, Oct. 16 (Xinhua) -- Some 1,000 newly graduated Afghan army soldiers on Sunday joined the country's national army, according to an army officer.
"As many as 1,000 soldiers were commissioned to Afghan National Army (ANA) on Sunday morning. The newly graduates had received a three-month training at Kabul Military Training Center (KMTC) in eastern Kabul," Captain Barat Ali Rizae told Xinhua.
The newly graduates would be deployed to the countryside to provide security for their people, he said.
