SINGAPORE, Oct. 6 (Xinhua) -- A Singaporean arrested for involvement in terrorism-related activities was issued with a Restriction Order (RO) for a period of two years in August, the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) said on Thursday.
MHA said Asrul bin Alias, a technician, is a supporter of the terrorist group Islamic State (IS). In 2014, he perused online materials on the conflict in Syria and encountered pro-IS materials and subsequently became influenced by the terrorist group's propaganda.
