Yangon (VNA) – The Myanmar government has agreed to four out of eight points demanded by the United Nationalities Federal Council (UNFC), which represents the non-signatories to the Nationwide Cease fire Accord (NCA).
According to U Zaw Htay, Deputy Director-General of the President's Office, in a meeting between the government's Peace Commission and UNFC's Delegation for Political Negotiation (DPN) in Yangon on October 18, the peace commission also agreed in principle to the remaining four points for continued negotiation.
The meeting aimed to consider holding a national-level political dialogue, towards paving way for non-signatory armed groups to complete the signing.
