NEW DELHI - India and Russia on Saturday signed three defense intergovernmental agreements for the purchase of S-400 Tiumf air defense systems and four stealth frigates, and the formation of a joint venture to manufacture Kampov-226T light utility helicopters in India.
The formal contracts and delivery schedule will be announced later.
During the bilateral meeting in Goa, the two sides did not make any announcement on leasing of nuclear submarines, new version of BrahMos cruise missile or joint development and production of a fifth generation fighter aircraft that have also reportedly been a part of discussions between the countries.
