News Story: AFP statement on alleged coup plot to oust Duterte

The Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) spokesman has released statements while looking on alleged recruitment reports of soldiers and policemen plotting to oust President Rodrigo Duterte.

Brig. Gen. Restituto Padilla Jr., AFP spokesman said reports “about these seeming disturbances within the military are unknown to us, these are things that we take seriously so we will look into it.”

The statement was issued after Cabinet Secretary Leoncio Evasco revealed the alleged plan of Liberal Party members Sen. Antonio Trillanes 4th and some elite businessmen to topple Duterte.
