GHAZNI, Afghanistan, Oct. 24 (Xinhua) -- Up to 370 Taliban militants had been killed over the past 20 days in the eastern Ghazni province and the armed outfit's design to overrun the province has been thwarted, provincial governor Abdul Karim Matin said Monday.
"A total of 370 Taliban rebels have been killed over the past 20 days around provincial capital Ghazni city, Deyak, Andar and Giro districts and the enemies conspiracy to gain ground has been foiled," Matin told reporters at a press conference here.
According to the official, 148 more militants had been injured over the period.
