According to the first deputy chief of the Russian General Staff's Main Operational Department, China could fall within the crosshairs of the US Aegis Ballistic Missile Defense System if it is to deployed in South Korea.

"Who can guarantee that instead of THAAD, the land-based Aegis Ashore will not be deployed in South Korea in the future like in Romania and Poland? In that case, a significant part of China would come under the possible strike," Poznikhir said at the Xiangshan Forum briefing.
