News Report: Afghan Intelligence Busts Taliban Explosive-Making Center

The Afghan National Directorate of Security (NDS) said Monday it had successfully busted a center for making explosives in the country's northeastern Takhar province that belongs to the Taliban group, media reported.

MOSCOW (Sputnik) – In its statement the NDS said that it had busted the center while carrying out a special military operation in the Khawajah Ghar district and confiscated a large number of explosive devices, magnetic bombs, road side bombs, RPG rockets, mortar bombs in addition to military uniforms, according to Khaama press.

The Taliban group has not yet made any statements regarding the events. 

Afghanistan is in a state of political and social turmoil, with government forces fighting the continuing Taliban insurgency, with the Daesh terror group, outlawed in Russia, also expanding its activities in the country.
