News Story: No more joint Naval patrols with United States says Duterte

Following pronouncements that he will pursue his own independent foreign policy, Philippines will no longer conduct any joint naval patrols with the United States and other foreign nations in international seas to avoid getting trouble, President Duterte announced on Tuesday.

“We will not join any expedition of patrolling the seas. I will not allow it because I do not want my country to be involved in any hostile act,” the President said in his remarks at the anniversary of the Presidential Airlift Wing in Villamor Air Base.
