NEW DELHI, Sept. 13 (Xinhua) -- The civilian death toll in India-controlled Kashmir touched 80 on Tuesday, with one person being killed and several others injured as security forces opened fire to quell fresh violence this morning.
"The violence broke out in Bandipora, some 70 km from state capital Srinagar, when protestors defied curfew and took out demonstrations, and clashed with security forces when the latter tried to stop the demonstrators," a senior police official said.
