Phnom Penh (VNA) – Cambodia will continue sending troops to join the United Nations (UN) Peacekeeping missions, the Phnom Penh Post on September 13 quoted Minister of National Defence Tea Banh as saying.
The minister gave the announcement at the UN Peacekeeping Defence Ministerial Meeting, which opened in London, the UK last week.
According to spokesman of Cambodia’s Ministry of National Defence Chhum Socheat, at least 770 Cambodian soldiers are taking part in the UN’s peacekeeping operations in some countries, including Mali, the Republic of Central Africa, Lebanon and South Africa.
