DHAKA, Aug. 4 (Xinhua) -- Two militant suspects in Bangladesh's deadly Eid prayer attack were killed in a gunfight with anti-crime elite force Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) in Mymensingh district, some 122 km north of Dhaka, on Thursday night, a local police official said.
The official who did not like to be named said they were killed as the RAB members opened fire on cohorts of the militants in retaliation of the firing during a raid at a place of the district at around 11:30 p.m. local time Thursday night.
Acting on a tip-off, RAB members conducted the raid, he said.
Sensing the presence of the elite force, cohorts of the criminals opened fire to them, prompting them to retaliate, triggering a gunfight.
