TUESDAY, the Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) and the Philippine National Police (PNP) declared enthusiasm in cooperating and helping the incoming president as their Commander-in-Chief.
In a joint police and military news briefing in Camp Crame in Quezon City, Chief Supt. Wilben Mayor, PNP spokesman, said it is “within the powers of the newly elected President to give directives to the police and the military in fulfilling their mandated tasks.”
The AFP, through its spokesman Brig. Gen. Restituto Padilla, said they are more than willing to obey and serve under whoever will be the new Commander-in-Chief.
