NAY PYI TAW, May 25 (Xinhua) -- Commander-in-Chief of Myanmar's Defense Services Senior-General Min Aung Hlaing left here Wednesday to pay a goodwill visit to Thailand, official sources said.
At the invitation of Commander of the Royal Thai Defense Forces General Sommai Kaotira, Min Aung Hlaing is making the visit aimed at enhancing relations between the two countries and military cooperation between the two armed forces.
Min Aung Hlaing's Thailand trip came two weeks after Thai Foreign Minister Don Pramudwinai visited Nay Pyi Taw as special envoy of Thai Prime Minister Prayut Chan-o-cha.
