TOKYO, April 19 (Xinhua) -- Japan and Canada will work closely together to combat terrorism as agreed Tuesday during so-called 2-plus-2 security talks held in Tokyo between vice foreign and defense ministers of both countries.
The talks were held ahead of a Group of Seven summit to be held in Japan in May at which the participating countries will adopt a counter-terrorism resolution as militant groups such as the Islamic State, who claimed responsibility for deadly terror attacks in Paris and Brussels, have vowed more bloodshed.
