KABUL, April 15 (Xinhua) -- Some 74 militants have been killed and 11 others wounded in military operations conducted by Afghan security forces within one day, the Defense Ministry said on Friday.
The operations were launched in 12 provinces of the country's 34 provinces since Thursday morning, the ministry said in a statement.
About 41 militants of the Islamic State (IS) were among those killed and the joint security forces found and seized weapons, the statement noted.
