ISLAMABAD, April 7 (Xinhua) -- At least 12 militants were killed when security forces repulsed a cross border attack at their check post in Pakistan's northwest tribal area of Kurram Agency on Thursday, local Urdu media reported.
Samaa News said that some 50 Afghan militants stepped into the Pakistani territory by crossing the porous border between the two countries and opened fire at the check post of the security forces.
Forces launched a retaliatory attack to retreat the attackers in which 12 of them got killed and others fled the scene leaving the bodies of their accomplices behind.
