Chinese Surface-to-Air Missile System could be acquired by Turkey
China could emerge as a leading candidate to supply arms to Iran and Turkey, reports our Chinese-language sister paper Want Daily.

In recent years, China has continued to increase military expenditure and develop advanced weapons, with Chinese arms manufacturers also looking to expand to international markets.

Experts believe China could potentially compete with Russia, the US and European countries in the race to supply arms to Iran, which continues to be restricted by arms technology sanctions stemming from its nuclear program, and Turkey, which remains in need of a missile defense system due to regional instability.

On July 14, Iran and the P5+1 group of international mediators, comprising Russia, China, France, the United States, the United Kingdom and Germany, reached an agreement to ease sanctions against the Iran in return for the peaceful development of Tehran's nuclear program.
