Brunei: KDB Darulehsan arriver in Muara after joining Multi Nations Maritime Security Exercise in Langkawi

MUARA NAVAL BASE, Thursday 26 March 2015 - KDB DARULEHSAN arrived safely at Jetty Bravo, Muara Naval Base this morning after successfully joined the Multi Nations Maritime Security Exercise (MNMSX) in Langkawi in conjunction to the 13th Langkawi International Maritime & Aerospace Exhibition 2015 (LIMA’15), Malaysia.

Present to receive the ship was the Deputy Commander of Royal Brunei Navy (RBN), Lieutenant Colonel (L) Haji Othman bin Haji Suhaili@Suhaily and RBN Fleet Commander, Lieutenant Colonel (L) Pg Mohammad bin Pg Haji Damit along with RBN senior officers and personnel as well as families of the deployed personnel.

To bless the ceremony, a Doa Selamat was recited by Private Mohd Raduan bin Mohd Kamaluddin, from Royal Brunei Armed Forces Religious Department and followed by the Deputy Commander of RBN greeting the ship Commanding officer and the Officers of KDB DARULEHSAN onboard.

19 naval ships of various classes from ten countries joined the MNMSX to demonstrate the practical cooperation amongst the participating navies. The countries are, Brunei Darussalam, India, Indonesia, Malaysia, Myanmar, Pakistan, Singapore, Thailand, South Korea and the United States.

The participation of KDB DARULEHSAN has showcased its ability to interoperate with different navies through practical exercises and it is also aimed to enhance understanding, consensus, mutual trust as well as friendship. KDB DARULEHSAN also took the opportunity to promote the culture of Brunei Darussalam by partaking in the LIMA ‘15 International Maritime Cultural and Food Festival as part of the LIMA ’15 incorporated events.
