Frank Rose, Assistant Secretary for Arms Control, Verification and Compliance, will travel to Burma, Republic of Korea, China, and the United Kingdom for meetings with counterparts from January 27-February 6.
On January 27, Assistant Secretary Rose will discuss a range of arms control subjects including ratification of the Chemical Weapons Convention with officials from Burma’s Ministries of Foreign Affairs and Defense in Naypyidaw, Burma.
From January 29-30, Assistant Secretary Rose will participate in bilateral talks with counterparts in Seoul, Republic of Korea on topics of mutual interest including extended deterrence, missile defense, arms control, and outer space security.
On February 2, Assistant Secretary Rose will join Under Secretary of State for Arms Control and International Security Rose Gottemoeller at the U.S.-China Security Dialogue in Beijing, China.
From February 3-6, Assistant Secretary Rose will join Under Secretary Gottemoeller at the Sixth Annual P5 Conference in London, United Kingdom.
