USA: Ambassador Robert King, Travel to Geneva and Brussels - Ambassador Sung Kim, Travel to Brussels


Ambassador Robert King, Special Envoy for North Korean Human Rights Issues, Travel to Geneva and Brussels

Ambassador Robert King, Special Envoy for North Korean Human Rights Issues, will travel to Geneva January 20 for meetings with officials from the UN and members of the international community to discuss the deplorable human rights situation in North Korea.

Ambassador King will then travel to Brussels on January 21-23 to meet with senior officials of the European Union, including Members of the European Parliament, civil society leaders and others of the international community for consultations on a wide range of human rights and humanitarian issues.

Ambassador King will return to Washington, D.C. on January 23.

Ambassador Sung Kim, Special Representative for North Korea Policy and Deputy Assistant Secretary for Japan and Korea, Travel to Brussels

Ambassador Sung Kim, Special Representative for North Korea Policy and Deputy Assistant Secretary for Japan and Korea, will travel to Brussels on January 19-20 to attend the Japan Trilateral Forum organized by the German Marshall Fund of the United States.

Ambassador Kim will also meet with senior officials from the European Union and other interlocutors to discuss issues of mutual interest and concern regarding Northeast Asia.

Ambassador Kim will return to Washington, D.C. on January 20.
