Brunei: CHIEF OF ARMY NEW ZEALAND DEFENCE FORCE MEETS BRUNEI DEFENCE OFFICIALS


BANDAR SERI BEGAWAN, Thursday 2 October 2014 – His Excellency Major General Dave Gawn, Chief of Army New Zealand Defence Force had an official working visit to Brunei Darussalam from 1st to 3rd October 2014.

Upon arrival at the Royal Brunei Land Forces Headquarters, Major General Dave Gawn, inspected a Guard of Honour mounted by the personnel from the Third Battalion RBLF. A courtesy call was made to the Commander Royal Brunei Land Force, Brigadier General Dato Seri Pahlawan Haji Yussof bin Haji Abd Rahman.

The visit was aimed at strengthening bonds, friendship and enhancing bilateral cooperation in the field of defence between the two armies.

The working visit includes the courtesy calls to the Deputy Minister of Defence, Dato Paduka Haji Mustappa bin Haji Sirat and the Commander of Royal Brunei Armed Forces, Yang Dimuliakan Pehin Datu Pekerma Jaya Major General Dato Paduka Seri Mohd Tawih bin Abdullah at The Ministry of Defence, Bolkiah Garrison.

Major General Dave Gawn also had the opportunity to visit the British Forces Brunei 1RGR, at Tucker Lines Seria, RBAF Defence Academy and RBAF Training Institute.
