China's new geopolitical strategy must include working together with Russia and lobbying for the support of India, reports the Chinese-language website of Voice of Russia, the Russian government's international radio broadcasting service.
The June 11 commentary notes that Chinese political experts have often summarized China's geopolitical strategy over the past five to seven years as "fixing relations with the west, relying on the north, and fighting for the southeast."
However, perceptions of China's strategy might have to be revised, the editorial said, in light of the recent slate of bilateral agreements Russian president Vladimir Putin signed with China during his trip to Shanghai last month.
