Pacific-2013 – the international exhibition of naval and commercial technology for the Asian-Pacific region–has opened in Sydney. The state corporation Rostec, as well as Rosoboronexport and various shipbuilding enterprises, are leading the Russian delegation.
More than 400 companies from 17 countries are expected to participate in the exhibition this year. Around 30 military and 12 civilian ships will take part in an international fleet show, according to the FSMTC press service.
The event will feature military and civil naval technology, such as shipbuilding, port facilities, and repair and maintenance equipment.
The exhibition will celebrate the centennial of the Royal Australian Navy with a number of special events.
The official Russian delegation at the exhibition will include representatives of the state corporation Rostec, as well as Rosoboronexport and various domestic shipbuilding enterprises.
V. A. Artemev, who oversees work with defense companies and the implementation of new projects for FSMTC, is heading the Russian delegation.
The Rosobornexport booth will demonstrate Russia’s capabilities for developing both military and civilian naval technology.
The Russian delegation will hold a series of meetings with representatives from military and political spheres of Australia and also other countries in the Asian-Pacific region.
Pacific-2013, the international exhibition of naval and commercial technology for the Asian-Pacific region, has been held every one or two years since 2000. The event is an effective business platform for developing and strengthening cooperation and business ties between Russia and other international partners in the military-technical field.
