Brunei: RBAF READY FOR ASEAN SUMMIT


PENANONG, 4 Oct 2013 - The Royal Brunei Armed Forces today conducted an exercise in its preparation for the security requirements of the upcoming 23rd ASEAN SUMMIT and 8th EAST ASIA SUMMIT. The conduct of the exercise was a joint collaboration between the Special Forces Regiment, the Royal Brunei Navy and the Royal Brunei Air Force. On hand to witness the exercise was the Commander of the Royal Brunei Armed Forces, Major General Dato Paduka Seri Haji Aminuddin Ihsan bin P.O.K.S.M.D.S.P Haji Abidin, Senior Assistant Commissioner of Police Haji Mohammad Jammy bin Haji Mohammad Shah Al-Islam and senior officers from the RBAF and RBPF.

The security of the summit is paramount for the RBAF and will be collaborating closely with the RBPF and other government security agencies as the nation is gearing up for the summit next week.
