NEW DELHI (PTI): As the army faces ammunition shortage for its tank regiments, the Cabinet Committee on Security (CCS) is expected to consider a proposal of Defence Ministry to procure over 20,000 of Invar missiles from Russia for T-90 tanks at an estimated cost of around Rs 2,000 crore.

The meeting on Thursday is also expected to discuss the procurement of air-launched version of the 290-km-range BRAHMOS supersonic cruise missiles for the IAF, sources said.
