News Story: S(outh) Korea, Australia agree to regularly hold joint naval drill


SEOUL, May 14 (Yonhap) -- South Korea and Australia agreed Monday to hold joint naval drills on a regular basis from this year, as part of efforts to strengthen their bilateral defense cooperation, the Navy said.

The agreement was reached after a meeting earlier in the day between South Korean Navy chief, Adm. Choi Yun-hee, and Australian navy chief, Vice Adm. Ray Griggs, who arrived in South Korea Sunday for a four-day visit, Navy officials said.
