Belgian Minister of Defence, Mr Pieter de Crem, has postponed a planned visit to Australia to oversee military assistance for the repatriation to Belgium of victims of the tragic bus accident in Switzerland on 13 March.
This morning I visited the Belgian Embassy in Canberra to sign a condolence book for the victims of this terrible accident.
I asked Belgian Ambassador to Australia, HE Patrick Renault, to pass on the condolences of the Australian Government and people to Minister de Crem and the Belgian Government.
