News Story: BAE 'may cut Typhoon price for India'

Eurofighter partners in the UK, Spain, Italy and Germany are to consider 'all options', including a potential price cut, in order to win India's multi-role fighter contract (MRCA), BAE System's Chief Executive Ian King has said.

Late last month it was announced that Dassault's Rafale fighter jet had been selected as the preferred aircraft by the Indian government after the French bid was determined to be cheaper.

Despite the announcement, both BAE Systems and government body UK Trade and Investment have publicly stated that the Eurofighter Typhoon has not yet been ruled out for India.
