Singapore: Singapore and Brunei Conduct Bilateral Army Exercise

The armies of Singapore and Brunei concluded a bilateral exercise code-named Maju Bersama today with Chief of Army Major-General Ravinder Singh and Commander of the Royal Brunei Land Forces (RBLF) Brigadier-General Haji Yussof bin Haji Abd Rahman officiating at the closing ceremony in Brunei.

Bilateral 'Exercise Maju Bersama' Concluded

TEMBURONG, Wednesday 14th December 2011 – Bilateral Exercise “MAJU BERSAMA” between Royal Brunei Land Force (RBLF) and Republic of Singapore Armed Force (SAF) which held in Temburong District since 6th December 2011 was concluded today with a closing ceremony held at Football Field Kg Selangan Primary School. Present as Guest of Honor and receiving a salute from parade were Commander RBLF, Brigadier General Dato Seri Pahlawan Haji Yussof Bin Haji Abd Rahman and Chief of Army, SAF, Major General Ravinder Singh. Chief of Army, SAF were honour to give the closing ceremony speech marking the end of Exercise MAJU BERSAMA.

This exercise has achieved their objective to strengthen the diplomatic relationship between the two forces as well as enhance mutual cooperation and development of doctrine and operational procedures between RBLF and SAF besides upgrading their skills, knowledge and professionalism of each personnel.

This exercise was concluded by conducting a Battalion attack comprised of 3 Companies including 1 Company from SAF against the enemy located at Bukit Lutut. The enemy has been successfully killed and Bukit Lutut is now secure and safe. Royal Brunei Navy and Royal Brunei Air Force also play their role assisting RBLF throughout the exercise.

Exercise MAJU BERSAMA is a bilateral military training exercise between RBLF and SAF. It is held alternately between the two countries every two years.
