News Story: H-6 bombers to be deployed to China's Nanjing military region


China has recently decided to deploy its H-6K strategic bombers to the Nanjing Military Region on the country's southeastern coast, neighboring Taiwan's airspace, according to the Central News Agency based in Taipei.

The People's Liberation Army Air Force just completed its first long-range exercise over the Western Pacific with H-6K bombers last month. Despite the expansion of the economic exchange between Beijing and Taipei, China continued to assign fourth-generation fighters to the PLA Air Force units stationed in the Nanjing Military Region, which encompasses the provinces of Anhui, Jiangsu, Zhejiang, Jiangxi and Fujian after Ma Ying-jeou became the president of Taiwan in 2008.
