MANILA, Philippines — A guided-missile destroyer from the United States arrived in Subic Bay on Monday for a brief port call.
Arleigh Burke–class guided-missile destroyer USS John S. McCain is deployed to the US 7th Fleet area of operations as support of security and stability in the Indo-Asia-Pacific region.
The vessel's port call highlights the community and military connections between the Philippines and the US, which have been allies for more than 70 years.
