A man who claims to be a member of the Davao Death Squad (DDS) told the Senate on Thursday morning that the former Davao city Mayor and current President Rodrigo Duterte ordered them to bomb a mosque and kill crime and drug suspects.
Senator Leila de Lima presented Edgar Matobato, 57, a Davao resident, at the hearing of the Senate committee on justice and human rights.
According to Matobato, his job as DDS member is to terminate criminals: “ang trabaho namin ay pumatay ng kriminal (The work we will kill the criminals), drug pushers, snatcher, rapist.”
