BEIJING, Aug. 19 (Xinhua) -- Top Chinese political advisor Yu Zhengsheng on Friday called on China and Japan to pursue the right direction in bilateral ties and eliminate disturbances to achieve continued and stable improvement of the bilateral relationship.
Yu Zhengsheng, chairman of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC) National Committee, made the remarks in his meeting with Takeo Kawamura, chair of the Japanese House of Representatives Committee on Rules and Administration at the Great Hall of the People.
Yu said China has always attached great importance to ties with Japan and promoted building ties on the basis of four political documents between China and Japan in the spirit of "taking history as a mirror and looking toward the future."
