Philippine Navy (PN) is preparing for contingency plan in case other countries will react aggressively once the Permanent Court of Arbitration (PCA) hand down a ruling on July 12.

According to a military source in Camp Aguinaldo, the postponement scheduled visit of BRP Ramon Alcaraz (FF 16) in Vietnam is indeed part of the Navy’s contingency on PCA ruling.

“As a military you are always ready for contingency,” the source said, as quoted by Inquirer.net.

“Our allies may react aggressively or whatever way, either in Scarborough or our areas at Kalayaan Island Group especially LT-57 (BRP Sierra Madre). So in case of emergency, our assets there are ready,” the source added.
