The United States, Japan, and the Republic of Korea held a trilateral dialogue on the Middle East and North Africa on June 13 in Washington, D.C.
U.S. Assistant Secretary for Near Eastern Affairs Anne Patterson hosted her counterparts, Japan’s Director-General for Middle Eastern and African Affairs Tsukasa Uemura and the Republic of Korea’s Director-General for African and Middle Eastern Affairs Kwon Hee-seog.
The dialogue provided an important opportunity for the three governments to exchange views and coordinate policy, as well as to explore opportunities to deepen cooperation in the region.
