Pakistan wants peaceful solution to border issue with Afghanistan: military
ISLAMABAD, June 15 (Xinhua) -- Pakistan military said on Wednesday that the country wants to peacefully resolve border issue with neighbouring Afghanistan.
One Pakistani soldier and one Afghan soldier were killed and several people on both sides injured in an exchange of firing along Torkham, one of the main border crossings, between the two countries, over the past four days.
The firing started Saturday after the construction of a gate by Pakistan on its side of the border.

Pakistan, Afghanistan border forces observe ceasefire after clashes
ISLAMABAD, June 15 (Xinhua) -- Pakistan and Afghanistan declared a ceasefire at Torkham border crossing on Wednesday after five days of exchange of heavy fire, officials said.
Skirmishes over construction of a gate on the Pakistani side led to clashes that caused casualties on both sides over the past five days.
Afghan Ambassador in Islamabad Omar Zakhilwal held talks with Pakistani officials on Wednesday and both sides later declared the ceasefire.
