Industry: Northrop Grumman Sperry Marine Selected to Supply Full Integrated Bridge Systems to the Royal Thai Navy

NEW MALDEN, U.K., Sept. 15, 2015 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Northrop Grumman Corporation's (NYSE:NOC) Sperry Marine business unit has been selected to supply full Integrated Bridge Systems (IBS) to the Royal Thai Navy's future frigates.

The contract is to supply a full IBS system to the Royal Thai Navy through the Daewoo Shipbuilding and Marine Engineering shipyard, with options for three additional systems. The IBS includes the VisionMaster™ FT family of products and navigation systems such as NAVIGAT™ X MK1 gyrocompass, NAVIKNOT™ speed log, a Warship Automatic Identification System, and a Voyage Data Recorder (VDR). Delivery is scheduled for June 2016 and Sperry Marine's service agent FT Marine will provide commissioning.

Sperry Marine has previously supplied equipment to the Royal Thai Navy flagship vessel, HTMS Chakri Naruebet. The company has also been selected to supply X and S-band radars, as well as a VisionMaster™ FT ECDIS (Electronic Chart Display and Information System), a speed log and gyrocompass systems to the Royal Thai Navy's patrol boat currently being built in the Naval Dockyard shipyard.
