The FD-2000 advanced air defense missile will be displayed during the Ninth China International Aviation & Aerospace Exhibition held in Zhuhai, Guangdong province between Nov. 13 and 18, reports our sister newspaper, Want Daily.
Considered as China's most advanced surface to air missile, the FD-2000 is being displayed alongside the Russian built S-300 air defense missile, which is able to intercept targets more than 100 kilometers away. Developed by China Precision Machinery Import-Export Corporation, based in Beijing, FD-2000 missile consists of a Type 305B search radar, a tracking radar, a 200kW diesel generator truck, and eight transporter erector launchers with 32 ready rounds.
