SEOUL, Aug. 4 (Yonhap) -- South Korean Defense Minister Song Young-moo on Friday called for an impregnable defense posture against North Korea's threats, as he visited the heart of the alliance with the United States.
He met with Gen. Vincent K. Brooks, commander of the Combined Forces Command (CFC) and the U.S. Forces Korea (USFK), and Gen. Leem Ho-young, deputy commander of the CFC during his first visit to the U.S. Army Garrison Yongsan in Seoul, home to the headquarters of the CFC and the USFK, since his inauguration in July.
Song attended an honor guard ceremony and received a briefing on the operation of the commands.
