News Story: S.Korean president vows elimination of defense industry corruption

SEOUL, July 17 (Xinhua) -- South Korean President Moon Jae-in vowed Monday to eliminate corruption in defense industry, describing such corruption as "an act benefitting the enemy."

"The defense industry corruption is not just a corruption, but an act benefitting the enemy that threatens national security," Moon said during a weekly meeting with his senior secretaries.

Moon said the elimination of the defense corruption was not a matter to determine who is liberal or conservative, but a matter to determine who is patriot or non-patriot, noting that the task could not be delayed any more.
