News Story: Singapore tightens security ahead of Shangri-La dialogue

Singapore (VNA) – Singapore has tightened security across all streets leading to Shangri-La Hotel Singapore, where the 16th Shangri-La Dialogue will take place from June 2 to 4. 

The annual event, one of the world's top security forums, will bring together ministers and delegates from more than 50 countries in the Asia-Pacific region. This year, Australian Prime Minister Malcolm Turnbull will deliver the keynote speech on the opening day.

During its course in Singapore, local police will set up roadblocks and conduct stringent security checks at and around Shangri-La Hotel.
