JALALABAD, Afghanistan, May 1 (Xinhua) -- Some eight militants of the Islamic State (IS) group were killed after an unmanned U.S. plane fired a missile at a running vehicle in the eastern Afghan province of Nangarhar, the provincial government said Monday.
"The airstrike took place on Mano locality of Chaparhar province roughly at 2:00 p.m. local time Sunday and one vehicle was also destroyed by the raid," it said in a statement.
