Nangarhar Police Chief Abdul Rahman Rahimi on Monday said that Pakistani and Iranian militants are fighting for Daesh against Afghan forces.
Rahimi said that in a recent operation by Afghan forces, a number of Pakistani and Iranian nationals fighting for Daesh were arrested in Nangarhar province.
“More investigations will determine (more details) later but those who were arrested are in front of your cameras and the nation can judge for themselves,” said Rahimi.
Rahimi said that the Pakistani and Iranian detainees confessed that Daesh militants are being funded by Iran and Pakistan.
